There are a few things you can do if you have forgotten your router username and/or password and cannot log in to the admin panel.
Default Username and Password
Many people do not know the default username and password of their router or modem. This is not necessary for many people. However, you need this information when you want to reach the management interface. The easiest way to access this information is to see if there is a sticker on the bottom and back of the device. You can login to the admin panel using the username and password on this tag. Another method is to browse your device’s user manual. Here you can find out what your device username and password are in the first paragraphs in the installation section. If you cannot use these two methods, you can browse our default username and password list page. Here you can find comprehensive information on many brands and models.
Perform a Factory Reset
If none of the above mentioned methods helped you solve your problem, you can reset your device as the last method. When you reset your router, all your settings will return to the factory settings. In this way, you can log in with the default username and password using the list on our site.
Follow the steps below to perform factory reset:
- Find the RESET button of your device.
- With the help of a thin object such as a needle, paper clip or toothpick, press and hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds.
- When your device lights start flashing, you can release the reset button. When the lights start to light steadily, your device will be back to factory settings.
- You can log in to the admin panel using your default router username and password.
